The Philosophy Behind the Practice.

Healing is about returning to wholeness. This practice is grounded in the belief that the body holds wisdom, that all parts of us deserve compassion, and that present-moment awareness is the foundation of lasting change. Through mindfulness, somatic work, and parts-informed therapy, a space is created for you to feel safe, seen, and supported.

I work with adults and couples. My approach to counseling is rooted in a simple truth: you are not broken, and you do not need to be fixed.

So much of modern life—and traditional therapy—teaches us to view our struggles, anxiety, or defensive reactions as flaws that require correction. But when we look closer, those patterns are often brilliant, creative adaptations your system developed to keep you safe in a world that felt overwhelming. My goal isn't to change who you are at your core, but to help you untangle those old survival strategies.

Life and stress often teach us to live from the neck up—relying heavily upon our minds while disconnecting from the signals, wisdom, and emotion stored in the body. Drawing on somatic therapy, mindfulness, and parts-informed work, we create a grounded, compassionate space for your whole self to settle. Together, we learn to listen to the messages behind your anxiety, tension, or exhaustion with curiosity rather than judgment.

Whether you are navigating a major life transition, seeking relief from chronic stress, or wanting a deeper connection with yourself and others, I am here to help you return to your natural state of wholeness.

I provide an attuned, collaborative environment for a diverse range of clients:

  • For men stepping into therapy for the first time or seeking a pragmatic, direct approach to emotional well-being.

  • For women navigating complex life transitions, relational dynamics, body-based distress, and identity shifts.

  • For couples looking to deepen understanding and repair disconnection.

My practice and ethos are fully LGBTQIA+ affirmative.

Education & Background.

I’m Angi Moe-Kyllonen, founder of Evo Therapy. I am a Professional Counselor Associate and hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University—a program steeped in mindfulness, somatic psychology, and contemplative care. I work under the supervision of Julie Westlin-Naigus (LPC C4000). My clinical approach blends somatic-centered practices with evidence-based techniques to support lasting, felt change from the inside out.

Life Outside the Practice.

When not in the therapy room, you'll find me spending time with my husband and our three children. I'm an avid reader and writer, love taking long walks, tending to my garden and house plants, and traveling. I also have a deep appreciation for design and architecture—finding joy in creating intentional, grounding spaces both in my home and in my work.

Sessions are 55 minutes long.

We’ll check in at the start and see what is present for you since our last meeting.

Our coping mechanisms, like anxiety, shut down, anger, a fierce inner critic, and depression, among others, are typically reactions we created in childhood and adolescence in response to an environment that was unable to meet our needs for connection and safety. The reasons for that vary, sometimes our parents were neglectful, and sometimes they were just parenting the only way they knew how.

We will work with these parts, getting to know and understand them, in addition to the somatic sensations that accompany them, because trauma lives in the body. This is why we often feel completely out of control regarding our reactions to situations and the people in our lives.

We will actively introduce corrective emotional experiences that allow you to release held trauma and maladaptive behaviors that are no longer serving you, while building your toolbox for moving through challenging experiences.

As you begin to walk the world with more self-understanding, you will notice more choice regarding your reactions, allowing you to respond from a place of awareness and Self energy, reclaiming your personal power.

What a Session Looks Like.

Awareness is the Alchemy of Change.
